There’s something special about camping together. Whether it’s families reconnecting, friends celebrating, or a whole crew of kids running between sites, group trips at Lake Arrowhead Campground are where some of the best memories are made. To help you plan the perfect getaway, here are our top tips for booking a group camping trip at LAC!
1. Book Early for the Best Site Selection
Popular weekends fill fast! If you’re hoping to camp near friends or family, the earlier you reserve, the better. Booking early gives your group the best chance to grab a cluster of sites and/ or cabins that fit everyone’s needs — whether you prefer shaded spots, cabins, or areas close to the playground and pools.
If your group wants to return the following year for the same weekend on the same sites, take advantage of our Early Bird Reservation option. From April 15 - May 15, you can book an identical reservation from this season for the next — making sure your favorite sites stay yours year after year.
2. Take Advantage of Transparent Pricing
At LAC, there are no lock fees, so when you book your sites together you will get the sites you reserved. We also don’t have hidden fees, wristbands, or extra charges for kids and additional adults (4 included per sites). That means you can focus on planning your trip — not calculating surprise costs.
3. Choose the Right Mix of Cabins and Campsites
Some campers love tents, others love their RVs, and some prefer a cozy cabin. The good news? You can mix and match! LAC offers cabins and campsites close together, so everyone can enjoy the same campfire and share the fun, no matter their camping style.
4. Decide if you want any Extras
Does anyone in your group want to rent a golf cart? They’re a fun and convenient way to get around the campground — but they go fast, especially on weekends, so reserve yours right away!
Planning to spend some time on the water? Whether it’s fishing on Lake Puckaway or cruising on a pontoon boat, you can call our office to reserve your rentals in advance and make sure your group doesn’t miss out on the fun.
5. Choose the Best Way to Book for Your Group
You can reserve your group’s sites online or over the phone — whichever works best for you.
Booking Online: Each family can book their own site online and pay in full, or one person can reserve all the sites and pay for them all and have the rest of the group reimburse them.
Booking by Phone:If you prefer, one person can call to reserve their site and ask to hold the other sites for your group. The rest of the group can then call in individually to pay for their own sites.
