Every summer, the Corn Boil at Lake Arrowhead Campground brings people together for food and fun—and this year was no exception. On August 15th, our fundraising events raised $800 for the Princeton Fire Department.
The star of the day? 2,000 ears of sweet corn, generously donated by Seneca Foods and cooked to perfection by our hardworking staff. Guests enjoyed old-fashioned games like the hayfind, fishpond, and a laugh-filled egg toss.
As the sun went down, the fun kept going with our Jail ‘n Bail fundraiser. We appointed a volunteer “sheriff”—a firefighter himself from the Milwaukee area—who oversaw the arrests, while DJ Paul Captain kept the tunes and the energy rolling. For just $7, folks could have friends or family members “locked up” in our homemade jail. Volunteer “judges” set the bail, and the incarcerated had to raise enough to earn their release back into society. All the money from this event goes straight to the Princeton Fire Dept.
From the first buttery bite of corn to the last bail being posted, it was a day packed with laughter, tradition, and generosity. Thank you for all who came out to support our local Fire Department!
